IoPP MN Named 2008 Chapter of Year

MN IoPP Chapter wins 2008 Chapter of the Year in Mega sized category (> 250 members)!!

Your local IoPP chapter officers were pleased to be honored in winning the 2008 competition for Chapter of the Year as presented at the IoPP National Meeting in Chicago on October 1, 2009.

The competition is due to the hard work of MN IoPP Chapter membership and board. The competition helps to spur local chapter activity and measures chapter organization, growth, participation in national events, publications, education, technical activities, and professional certification and development.

Thank you to the MN IoPP members for their ongoing active participation in the packaging community at both the local and national levels!!

Letter from the President:

This past week for our June social we packed food for Feed My Starving Children. Although our numbers were lower than a “regular” meeting we still made a difference. It was fun packing food and helping to eliminate childhood starvation. We teamed up with volunteers from Target Corp. and packed enough meals to feed 96 children for an entire year. Not bad for a little over an hour of work. Thank you to all those who volunteered.

Our next meeting will be in September. But if you want to stay connected with us during the summer you are welcome to join us at our upcoming board meeting:
