Membership Spotlight
Meet Matt Mulvey, a graduate of Rutgers Packaging, class of 2002 and this month’s member spotlight. Matt is a rising star amongst his professional peers and continues to grow within the packaging community. Matt is a Certified Packaging Professional member in the IoPP and is currently pursuing Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. Matt is currently with Temple-Inland as a Quality Assurance Manager. This NJ Native and rising star has “presidential ties” to a NJ based packaging club known as New Jersey Packaging Executives Club (NJPEC). Matt was the president of NJPEC in 2009 and during his reign NJPEC went digital, added new venues for meetings, and increased new members by more that 30% from 2008. WOW! “I liked the fact that I had an opportunity to modernize the club and make some changes that I felt were long overdue. I disliked the fact that, as in all non-profit organizations, you always get the same people running things. We worked very hard to drive for new membership and get them involved in the operations of the club.” -MM As if this was not enough for our rising star, Matt is working with the other Rutgers Packaging Alumni and the current Rutgers Engineering administration to revive the Packaging Program at The NJ IoPP looks forward to assisting
