Italian Trade Commission's "Italian Packaging Technology Awards" (IPTA)

Students, show us your packaging expertise . . . and be rewarded with a trip to Italy.

College students who are juniors, seniors or grad students can enter the Italian Packaging Technology Awards. This program recognizes the best thinking among students in packaging schools. And it rewards that thinking with a two-week trip to Italy in June 2010.

Here’s how to enter the competition:

What to enter?
Each entry is a 10-12 page paper.

What’s the content? Papers should cover these topic guidelines:

  • Technical innovation in the packaging machinery manufacturing industry
  • Innovation in packaging materials

2009 IPTA winners will be honored at a luncheon during PACK EXPO Las Vegas.

What is the submission process?
Each participating school has a faculty coordinator.  Contact that coordinator for specifics on how your school handles entries. The rules allow each school to submit two papers. Faculty at each school makes the decision on which papers go into the competition.

When is the deadline?
Each school’s faculty sets the deadline for student submissions to allow faculty review. Deadline for submission - February 2010.
