Italian Trade Commission's "Italian Packaging Technology Awards" (IPTA)

Students, show us your packaging expertise...and be rewarded with a trip to Italy.

College students who are juniors, seniors or grad students can enter the Italian Packaging Technology Awards program. IPTA recognizes the best thinking among students in packaging schools.

And it rewards that thinking with a two-week trip to Italy in June 2011.

How do I enter?
Each entry is a 10-12 page paper. Papers should cover these topic guidelines:

  • Technical innovation in the packaging machinery manufacturing industry
  • Innovation in packaging materials

What is the submission process?
Each participating school has a faculty coordinator.  Contact your coordinator for specifics on how your school handles its entries. The rules allow each school to submit two papers. Faculty at each school makes the decision on which papers go into the competition. For IPTA criteria, click here.

When is the deadline?
Each school’s faculty sets the deadline for student submissions to allow faculty review. Deadline for submission - February 15, 2011.

2010 IPTA winners were honored at a luncheon during PACK EXPO.
