IoPP webinar focused on implementing an effective serialization/UDI program IoPP's next webinar, The A to Z Cookbook of Implementing an Effective Serialization/UDI Program, presented by Kimberly Riley, CPP, Senior Packaging Engineering Project Manager, Covidien, is taking place online January 19, 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. CST. In this presentation, Riley, a key member of the packaging team at one of the largest healthcare product companies in the U.S., will provide need-to-knows and best practices establishing a serialization program in pharmaceutical and medical device packaging as part of an overall brand-protection strategy. Packaging Machinery: Basics course dates announced for 2012 If you're either a recent college graduate new to packaging, who hasn't worked with packaging machinery, or a packaging professional who needs a quick primer or refresher on machinery, IoPP's "Packaging Machinery: Basics" course is designed for you. The course requires just 2.5 days of your time, and it's taught by a veteran, certified instructor. "Packaging Machinery: Basics" will be offered March 26-28, 2012 and October 8-10, 2012. Do you ship large rack products? The Rack Transport Stability Team (RTST), working under the auspices of the International Safe Transit Association (ISTA), has released a standard practice for pictorial markings for the handling of goods. A series of six pictorial symbols for labeling large information technology rack products has been developed by RTST and incorporated into Standard D5445 by ASTM International Committee D10.11.
