Certification Program-CPP and CPIT

About IoPP Certification

Since 1972, IoPP has awarded qualified applicants the designation “Certified Packaging Professional (CPP).”  To date, 2000+ packaging professionals have attained CPP status.

And with good reason. The most recent IoPP salary survey revealed that CPPs earn up to 10% more than their non-certified co-workers!

Candidates achieve the Certified Packaging Professional (CPP) designation by demonstrating significant industry expertise and experience, measured through a flexible applicant testing process.

Recognition

Attaining the CPP designation is an excellent investment in your professional development. Yet among the benefits of having qualified is the public recognition that comes with the achievement.

The industry recognizes the CPP designation as a commitment to excellence in the packaging profession.

Those earning the CPP designation or CPP - Lifetime are permitted and encouraged to use the suffix “CPP” or "CPPL", respectively, after their name on business cards and letterhead, to wear the IoPP/CPP lapel pin, and to display the CPP Certificate, which is suitable for framing.

At the candidate’s request, IoPP will directly inform company management of the candidate’s successful effort.

ALL CPP Applicants, new and recerts must have their IoPP Membership level at the "Premium" tier. The new Certification program changes effect all new applicants. If you are already a CPP, you will be effected by the testing options to your recertification. Your schedule remains on the three year cycle.

IMPORTANT CPP INFORMATION: If you are pursuing IoPP certification or recertification, please be advised that the CPP exam has been updated to coincide with the Fundamentals of Packaging Technology, Fifth Edition. New questions on the updated CPP exam are NOT covered in the Fourth Edition.
