The Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP) partners with PACK EXPO East (April 16–18, Pennsylvania Convention Center, Philadelphia), produced by PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies. The event showcases 400 exhibiting companies offering packaging equipment, machinery, materials, containers and automation technologies, with 6,000 attendees from East Coast consumer packaged goods companies and those providing packaging materials and services to the industry.
“IoPP is pleased to announce this new partnership with PMMI in support of PACK EXPO East,” says Jim George, IoPP Director of Education. “We are always looking for ways to bring more value to our members, and this allows us to work with PMMI to mutually get the word out on the best the industry has to offer in both trade shows and educational programming.”
“Packaging associations participating in the PACK EXPO East Partner Program understand the value of being an official partner with the show, supporting their members and the packaging industry,” says Laura Thompson, PMMI Senior Director of Expositions. “These partners serve as an important link between attendees and exhibitors, bringing the industry together in Philadelphia.”
Jim Pittas, PMMI president & CEO, says, “The Partner Pavilion at PACK EXPO East brings together leading associations focused on regional growth for the packaging industry, while serving as an onsite resource to both attendees and exhibitors. Associations within the pavilion offer diverse services and knowledge across multiple vertical markets within the industry.”
IoPP will have two educational sessions at the show. On April 16, Jane Chase, IoPP Executive Director, will present “What’s Your Plan? Career Mapping—Understanding the Path to Success.” On April 17, Dennis Gros, President of Gros Executive Recruiters, will speak on “Your Career in Today’s Volatile Workplace” and identify issues shaping the current employment environment and recommend tactics to maximize your career growth.
