ASTM: Microparticles standards initiatives to sustainability definitions

Thursday, March 19
11 AM - 12 PM (EST)

Microparticles and sustainability claims are under increasing scrutiny. Yet much of the data driving public conversation remains incomplete. In fact, up to 90% of microparticles cannot currently be identified using available analytical methods.

In this live webinar, Kelvin Okamoto, president of Green Bottom Line and chair of ASTM D20.96, shares updates on ASTM's work in two critical areas: microparticle standards and sustainability terminology.

You'll get insight into:

  • Current and proposed ASTM standards for microparticle collection
  • The limitations of today's testing methods
  • How ASTM defines terms such as industrial compostability
  • What these evolving standards mean for packaging materials and claims

If you are responsible for material selection, compliance, sustainability strategy, or product development, this session provides clarity on where standards stand today and where they are headed.
