The Chemical Packaging Committee (CPC) is a technical committee of the Institute of Packaging Professionals. CPC consists of over 70 member companies and associations from the Chemical Industry. Each company is engaged in the manufacture, packaging, or distribution of chemicals.

Vision:

The CHEMICAL PACKAGING COMMITTEE strives to be the recognized leader and resource on chemical packaging technology and regulations, and to provide a forum for resolution of industry issues.

 

Mission:

The CHEMICAL PACKAGING COMMITTEE provides a leadership forum, through broad and diverse representation of the chemical industry by:

  • participating proactively in regulation formulation on local, national and global levels
  • developing and distributing position papers regarding industry issues to CPC members, regulatory bodies and others
  • assuring that packaging technology and information is readily accessible for professional development of CPC members
  • embracing safe and sustainable best practices
  • ensuring swift response to trends in the industry and CPC member needs
  • maintaining subcommittees for specific areas of interest including:
    • Regulation and Legislation
    • Drum, Pail and Intermediate Bulk Container
    • Bag, Box and Bottle
