Learn about serialization programs - Shire Pharmaceuticals’ Kimberly Riley at Pack Expo
A good serialization program can reduce counterfeiting for products such as pharmaceuticals by placing a unique mark on each level of packaging to track products. You can learn the ins and outs of effective serialization programs at Pack Expo Las Vegas in September. Kimberly Riley, Global Manager, P&L, at Shire Pharmaceuticals, will provide all the “need-to-knows.” Kimberly’s presentation is just one highlight of IoPP’s three-day Learning Center Conference at Pack Expo. Besides pointers on creating serialization programs, choose from sessions including what’s coming next in sustainability and packaging, total cost ownership and managing vendors, four update sessions from IoPP’s Food Safety Alliance for Packaging Technical Committee, and how to engage consumers via packaging at the "Mobile Moment of Truth." Sessions cost $99 before September 7, after September 7, sessions are $125.

Latest IoPP "Professional Perspective"  column in Packaging World
The July edition of IoPP's "Professional Perspective" column in Packaging World magazine is now available. The article, titled Assuring brand loyalty: Make yourself a 'need' rather than a 'want' - written by IoPP member Christopher Nutley, president and co-owner, MSW Packaging  - is focused on making sure that your company provides services that are indispensable. To do so, you need to ask the following: "Is our company adding value?"; "Is our company's service still relevant?"; "Is our company a key component for our customer's business?"; and "Do our company's customers need us any longer?"
