"Good morning Doug and everyone at the Central Ohio IoPP Chapter,

Thank you so much for choosing me to receive this scholarship. I have dedicated the last 3 years to immersing myself in the packaging field, whether it be school or co-op opportunities, and look forward to beginning my career in the near future. I greatly appreciate being chosen for this scholarship and will use the money provided to assist with tuition and other education expenses. I am grateful to have the opportunity to enter the scholarship pool and am thankful for the opportunities and support that IoPP provides. I look forward to being able to assist future students when I enter full time, as you all have done for me."

A special thank you to the fine folks at Abbott Nutrition for hosting us on a tour of their newly established Packaging Laboratory at Ross Park in Columbus. Several years ago we were able to tour the Packaging Lab at their old location, and this was our chance to see how their lab evolved as they moved it across town. We had a large turnout for this extensive tour and it was an interesting and interactive tour of every piece of equipment in Abbott's Test Lab.

We also took this opportunity to honor one of our Members, Jon Moyer, with the prestigious IoPP  Pi Alpha Kappa or "ΠΑΚ"  award. Recognizing an ongoing contribution to our local IoPP Chapter and the Packaging Industry as a whole. Congrats Jon!

One lucky fan in our group even caught a foul ball off the bat of one of the Clippers. That was pretty exciting and memorable for all. All in all it was a great night to watch some baseball. If you missed it this year, we will probably run this back again next year as it is becoming a favorite tradition for our Chapter.
