The Schwan Food Company is the 2011 Ameristar Award winner of the best new packaging concept for their Freschetta Frozen Pizza. In the beginning of 2011 the Florence Plant added capacity to accommodate the incredible demand for this new product offering.

 

September Meeting & Annual Golf Outing

 

The Cincinnati Chapter wishes to thank all of the fine companies who supported our 2011 Annual Golf Outing as sponsors as well as all of the players who participated in this year’s outing. We are excited that we met our goals which proved to make the 2011 Institute of Packaging Professionals Cincinnati Chapter Golf Outing a huge success for our membership and our non-member guests. We look forward making 2012 a tremendous year by bringing both educational and fun events to the Cincinnati packaging community!

Bring your family and friends!  All are welcome.

Cost is $30 per person.  Price includes a ticket to the game, ballpark food (hot dogs, peanuts, popcorn, chips), and soft drinks.  Alcoholic beverages are extra.

Admission will be $30 per person for members and $35 per person for non members.  Breakfast and Lunch are included.

Cold Jet specializes in equipment and machinery cleaning utilizing Dry Ice Blasting.

Tyson H. Marlowe, Director of Global Business Development for Cold Jet, LLC. will be speaking.  Mr. Marlowe's primary responsibilities include market research and analysis to identify equipment uses, companies, and industries as potential sales markets and new product development.  For the past six years he has been involved in researching, testing, and implementing dry ice blasting in many different industries and has continued involvement in product development and improvement.  Additionally, Tyson has also had the opportunity to present the many applications of dry ice blasting to various audiences and has spoken to and trained operators and distributors in many venues around the world.

Sal Pellingra, Director of Innnovation will be speaking about Ampac and trends in flexible packaging.

Sal has 29 years of experience in the flexible packaging industry mostly in product and market development.  He frequently speaks at industry events and contributes to trade journals.  He holds a BS and an MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology.
