2020 Recipients

 

Congratulations to the 2020 IoPP Packaging Education Scholarship Fund Scholarship Winners!

Continuing a tradition of supporting packaging education and raising awareness of packaging education and careers in the packaging industry, IoPP is pleased to announce this year’s IoPP Packaging Education Scholarship Fund winners!

The PepsiCo R&D Scholarship is a $5,000 scholarship awarded to one student in their Junior or Senior year, who is pursuing a degree in a course of study relevant to a career in the packaging industry.

This year's winner is:

Mackenna Payne, is a four-year packaging student at the Michigan State University, graduating in May 2020. Mackenna plans to apply her talents to create packaging applications to reduce waste, enhance shelf-life for an innovative consumer goods company.

 

The IoPP Packaging Education Scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship awarded to two students, who are also in their Junior or Senior year, who are pursuing a degree in a course of study relevant to a career in the packaging industry. This year’s winners are:

  

 

 

Jennifer Kallman, is a four-year packaging science student at Rochester Institute of Technology, graduating in May 2021. Jennifer continues to explore options through co-ops and hopes to be a part of the sustainability movement.
Margaret Kendhammer, is a four-year packaging student at University of Wisconsin - Stout, set to graduate in the fall of 2021. Margaret has participated in the co-op program working at Boston Scientific. She plans to become a co-op supervisor some day.

 

NEW THIS YEAR: IoPP is offering a new addition to the IoPP Packaging Education Scholarship this year via the generosity of the IoPP Central Ohio Chapter, awarding one student with a $1,000 scholarship.

This year’s winner is:

Alanna Fallone, is a four-year packaging science student at the Rochester Institute of Technology, graduating in December 2020. Alanna aims to make an impact on the packaging field to develop sustainable alternative packaging design and materials.

 

The IoPP New England Chapter participates in the IoPP Packaging Education Scholarship, awarding one student with a $500 scholarship.

This year’s winner is:

Tu Chung, is a four-year packaging student at the San Jose State University, graduating in December 2020. She looks forward to turning her passion for packaging into her lifelong career.
