Crafting a Circular Future with Molecular Recycling

Thursday, October 20, 2022
11:00AM - 12:00 PM ET (10:00AM - 11:00AM CT)

Description

In this presentation, Eastman’s sustainability lead will discuss the global plastic waste crisis we’re all hearing so much about and why that is driving us toward a more circular economy. Our speaker, Christopher Layton, says molecular recycling can be a vital complement to mechanical recycling to tackle the plastic waste challenges we face.

In this session, learn the ins and outs of molecular recycling technologies, what technologies work best for which materials and how Eastman is working to develop more sustainable materials while influencing the broader ecosystem to ensure their long-term adoption.

Presenter - Christopher Layton, Sustainability Director Eastman—Specialty Plastics Group

Christopher Layton is the Sustainability Director for Eastman’s Specialty Plastics Group. He joined Eastman in 1998 and has held roles of increasing responsibility in environmental, health and safety, technology and business management/leadership around the company. In his current role, he works across Specialty Plastic’s various markets to leverage Eastman’s circular recycling technologies and help customers meet their sustainability goals.
