Kelvin Okamoto, President, Green Bottom Line Inc.

Kelvin Okamoto operates Green Bottom Line consulting firm, focusing on sustainable materials and packaging development, commercialization, testing, and certification. He is the Founder and CEO of Gen3Bio, a start-up company that produces biobased chemicals and subsequent bioplastics from microalgae.

Kelvin holds a Ph.D. Chemistry from Cornell University and a B.S. in Chemistry from Stanford University, and as the ASTM D20.96 subcommittee Chair, deals with biodegradation and bio-based standards for plastics. He is also the Vice Chair of Products for D20 Plastics, overseeing subcommittees like D20.95 Plastics Recycling.

Kelvin is on the USDA BioPreferred Program Technical Advisory Council, is an Advisor for Circular Indiana, and is a Technical Advisor to the Compost Manufacturing Alliance.
