Compostables & Compliance: BPI Certification and California Updates

Thursday, June 5
11 AM-12 PM (EST)

Compostable packaging is at a turning point, and California is leading the way.

In this live session, Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) Policy Director, Roxanne Spiekerman and Certification Director, Margaret Eldridge, will walk you through how compostable products are certified, why certification matters, and what’s ahead in policy.

You’ll learn the ins and outs of California’s SB 54 and AB 1201, two laws shaping how compostables fit into the state’s ambitious goals. They'll also unpack how U.S. EPR programs are integrating certified compostables and what this means for your packaging strategy.

This premium webinar is part of our Packaging for a Sustainable Tomorrow series, developed in collaboration with our Sustainable Packaging Technical Committee.

If you work with compostable materials or are navigating state-level requirements, this webinar will help you stay ahead. Register today.
