As the definitive salary survey in the packaging business, the IoPP annual Salary Survey has grown with a greater focus on your career in packaging as opposed to just reporting numbers. IoPP Packaging Education Scholarship Fund submissions due March 18!
The Institute of Packaging Professionals is pleased to offer four $2,500 academic scholarships for 2013-2014 to recognize exceptional college students headed for a career in packaging. Do you know of any students pursuing a career in packaging that would benefit from this excellent opportunity? The scholarships have been created to support packaging education and to raise awareness of packaging as a career choice. As an added bonus, the top talent identified through this program will be shared with IoPP Benefactor companies as a recruiting tool for their organizations. IoPP UK to sponsor the Packaging Innovations Conference & Exhibition 2013
Packaging Innovations 2013, taking place February 27-28, 2013 in Birmingham, UK is the only show of its kind in the UK concentrating on packaging design. The event is ideal for marketers, designers, buyers and technologists. It is estimated that over 5,000 will attend the show from a range of packaging concentrations. As part of the sponsorship, IoPP UK is organizing speakers for 'learnshops' that occur throughout the exhibition. MSU's Student Packaging Jamboree taking place March 21-23
From March 21-23, Michigan State University’s School of Packaging will be hosting the 28th annual Student Packaging Jamboree.  The Jamboree will provide an opportunity for packaging students throughout the nation and Canada to unite for a weekend of networking and learning.  An anticipated 250 students will attend this three day conference that's themed: Innovation in Design and Sustainability. The conference will consist of presentations from prominent industry professionals, an opportunity to interact with industry experts through a formatted panel discussion, a showcase display of innovative packages, and a design competition that will incorporate all attending students.

IoPP to develop packaging conference at HBA Global Expo 2013 in New York
IoPP and UBM Live announce a partnership through which IoPP will develop and promote a one-day packaging education conference at HBA Global Expo & Conference 2013. UBM Live is the producer of the trade show and conference, which will be in its 21st year. The IoPP conference will take place on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. Speakers and topics will be announced shortly. As the leading product development event for the cosmetics, fragrance, personal care and skin industry, the international show draws more than 15,000 industry professionals, and will run June 18-20, 2013.
